This is the British version of the Gibbs. It uses unmodified blades, because of this they and the shave quality are extremely sought after so they generally fetch high prices.

It says "Made in Britain" on them but there is lots of speculation if in fact that is completely correct. It's generally thought that Gibbs manufactured them to supplied specifications. Add the fact that Gibbs held a 1937 patent on the design, I would believe that they were in fact manufactured by Gibbs or certainly under licence from them.
They were produced from the late 1940's into the early/mid 1950's, so for a relatively short period.

The three versions that I've seen are:
    Gold with the location posts on the topcap.
    Gold with the location posts on the middle plate - this appears to be the most common one.
    Chrome Version (The location posts are on the middle plate)

It appears that Personna preferred to advertise in Punch Magazine.
There are a number that showed their blades but these are the only ones that I can find that have a picture of the razors themselves.
