Personna Precision Chrome version
This is the Chromed British version of the Gibbs. It's the same razor as the brass version Here right down to the location of the blade posts. All parts are interchangeable between the two versions. It also uses unmodified blades and because of this they and the shave quality are extremely sought after.
I'll speculate that once "Personna" started getting feedback they decided to chrome a batch in order to try and reduce the drag.
There is a crack in the handle as can be seen in some of the pictures below, I want to preserve the original handle as best as I can and don't want to risk the crack growing so I turned myself one of brass. I also prefer the balance of the heavier handle.

How does it shave?
It has lost most if not all of the drag that I find with the Gold Version.
I'm not quite sure if its on par with the Gibbs (or Palmera) so in the next few weeks, I will use all three on consecutive days to see.
I did notice the "heavier" handle difference so before I do the comparison a brass handle needs to be made for it.
The New Handle
The decision was made to try and "mimic" the original. I don't have the same knurling wheels so the knurling is coarser.
I had the handle powder coated white and the twist-knob chrome plated. The company that did the chrome plating have a minimum charge so I added the spare twist knob, which was an old experimental one that I had sitting on my workbench.
I initially had it powder coated and it was probably too White. I found a local guy that was starting to Cerakote and I asked him if he would coat a handle and decided to let him do this one. Its a lot truer to the original "ivory" color and also more hardy than powder-coat. (Last image below) I'm very stoked with how everything has turned out, and I definitely appreciate the extra weight of the brass handle. I also prefer the fact that its now a 3-Piece.
I can also keep the original handle as intact as possible...
