All Merkur Progress modifications are either a completely new handle or a new twist-knob, with most been the latter.
The Merkur Progress has been around since the 1950's and between about 1988 and 2016, it and the Futur were the only available "New Adjustable Razors" and for a while there were a few people were modifying them.
